His son said while they were chatting at home, his dad started to have slurred speech, the right side of his face drooped, and he was unable to raise his right arm. His son immediately called the ambulance.  A head CT scan showed no signs of haemorrhage but hypodensity was apparent in the left middle cerebral artery. He was eligible for thrombolysis and was prescribed Alteplase 77 mg intravenously and transferred to a stroke unit.  The nurse administered 77 mg Alteplase IV.
