Workbook Project 3-5: Query an online Data Source to Measure Performance
In this project, you will learn how to query an online database of patient satisfaction ratings an report the results. Go to the Comonwealth website, Why Not the Best (http://whynotthebest.org) and use the search function to retrieve the data you need to creat your report. Choose a hospital in your region. Follow the directions for Project 3-5 and submit your report by the established due date.
Assignment Comments: You can access the data to complete the report without signing up for an account on the site. However, the account is free and you will be able to download the data set (you will only be able to view the results if you do not sign up for an account). To get all data populated on the page, first choose your hospital and then use the “add benchmark” options to include state and the “add benchmark” to add national data.
