Description
Informatics assists nursing in many ways. Being able to support a discussion and explain how technology impacts the issue gives the nurse a broader understanding of how technology can be used in their practice.
Tasks:
The stone is a unit of mass that is still sometimes used in the British Isles as an expression of human weight. A stone is equal to 14 pounds (about 6.35 kilograms). Argue for the international use of kilograms as a measure of human weight. What are the advantages to the unified system? What are the disadvantages? Who might be resistant? Why and/or how does technology impact this issue? Take this position, answer these questions, and support your decision.
In a minimum of 200 words, post your response to the following:
- Discuss the advantages of a unified system.
- Describe advantages and disadvantages of a unified system.
- Explain who may be resistant to a unified system.
- Discuss the stance you take on the issue and how/why technology impacts it.
Consider sharing your own experiences and interpretation of the research. Support your findings with examples and scholarly references. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.
