My name is Christine I am a mother of three boys and 6 grandkids I was raised in Houston, Texas with my three younger sisters, my mother and great great grand mother. Well sadly when I was 6 years my mother was killed and from there my great grandmother raised us. I thank the Lord for her because she taught me life and showed me how to gain access to the Lord. Back then to grand parents the Lord was the head of the house and no body could tell them otherwise married or not. Plus that was the times when things happened in the house it stayed in the house. Wow, I have learned alot of traditional ways and the new way of life which is very interesting. Well after she past I had to learn life on my on and raise my sons I tried to date there father after she pasted just to find out that was not the way for me to go. Life will teach you some lessons and I promise you never forget it.

Hi everyone. My name is Sydni Nelson, but I like to go by Syd. I am 21 years old and I currently live in Tampa, Florida. Yes- the sunshine state. Although the weather has been a little iffy these past few weeks. I was born on April 10, 1998 at St Josephs Womens hospital. While growing up, everything was pretty normal- 2 loving parents, 2 annoying brothers, a LOAD of annoying cousins, just typical stuff I guess.
My elementary and middle school years were a breeze. When it came to high school, that is where everything changed. Maybe because it was a phase all teenagers go through, who knows. In my previous school years I was very friendly and I interacted with literally everyone! A couple months into freshman year at high school everything went the opposing way. I got through it though, thank God!
After high school I was in a bind, not knowing what I really wanted to do. Army? Nah, not my speed. College? Nah, I just finished 12 years of school! So I worked at Oneblood, a blood bank, up until August of last year. I put in my two weeks notice so I could go to truck driving school! That’s right, I have my class a CDL. I thought I would actually want to go on the road, that way I could pay for college. Let me tell you, that is a whole different type of world out there! So now, I am pursuing my dream of becoming a nurse- all while working full time! AND having a few side hustles. My life was pretty boring… Well then again I can’t really get into much detail here.
The most challenging part of writing about my life was to keep everything very vague. I LOVE to tell stories in great depth- with a lot of detail. Maybe even more detail than what is needed! Also, I really do not like to talk about myself. It has just always seemed weird for me.
I know for sure I have to work on my wording. I sometimes add words that are not needed. I call them “filler words”- words I insert when I can’t think of anything else to say. I would also like to work on organizing my thoughts… or staying on track with my thoughts. I have always had these challenges since high school, but it is something I would like to work on.

- The non sterile compound I would offer in my retail pharmacy would be dermatology medications to treat acne.
- The equipment I would need to purchase is a Resonant Acoustic Mixer (RAM) which is a ground breaking piece of machinery that uses low frequency, high intensity, acoustic energy combined with G- factors to accurately mix powers.
- I would offer specialty flavor in liquids, creams and gels, in order for a more suitable taste for the palate.

I found this article to be a credible source because it came from an actual news station and when it comes from news channel feeds, you know it’s believable. The medication error happened when the patient that had been in the hospital after a dialysis session and was having shortness of breath. When the patient had spoken to the doctor, he explained that he had an upset stomach and then the doctor prescribed an antacid for the patient. So when the doctor had told the nurse to give the patient an antacid, the nurse had actually given the patient pancuronium, which is a temporary paralysis medication used when incubating patients, instead of the antacid.
I feel as if the nurse had actually taken the time to read the medication label on the medication package instead of going by how it looked, this patient wouldn’t have gone into cardiac arrest. When tour a nurse or doctor it is your responsibility to give the patient the correct medication and dosage to the patient. You have to know that even though the package may look the same, the labels are different. So in this case, I feel that if the nurse would of taken the time to read the label instead of going based on how the package looked, the patient wouldn’t have gone into cardiac arrest.

After reading the article online about six medication error stories that made headlines on CureatrBlog websit, The one I chose to discuss is the order for warfarin misplaced. In 2015 a medication error led to the death of a nursing home resident at Golden Living. The patient had a history of stroke in atrial fibrillation was receiving therapy with warfarin. The medication was placed in another’s patient’s records, and went unnoticed for nine days. I feel this was just pure negligence on the part of all the staff. This is a mistake they could have most definitely been avoided and it’s sad that the residents suffer like this.
