The way Curative care and prevention is currently, it has distinctively become a concept since. My practicum which will take place at the United Medical Center Hospital in Washington, DC- mainly on the acute setting, will be based entirely on a community health program by focusing more on Health-education, patient evaluation needs after hospitalization and previewing the environmental issues affecting the patient discharge.

My practicum site utilizes past and theoretical perspectives in healthcare prevention and nursing professionalism. For instance, homelessness, lack of guardianship, low-income rate and inability to access affordable health care services and insurance coverage. UMC DC encourages citizens to get vaccinated against flu and illnesses. There is a need for a patient’s handout, internet-based articles that can help implement an effective EBPH in UMC appropriately
