I’m not ready to be a mother.” Her mother is emotionally supportive but fears the financial implications because they are currently struggling to get by on her part-time salary. The father of the baby, while interested, is not able to provide emotional, financial, or practical support. C.S. denies alcohol, tobacco, or drug use, but does report that she is “very overweight” because of junk food consumption.
