In the first section of this assignment, describe at least three unique challenges associated with leading health care teams. What is it that makes developing and leading teams in this industry different from others? Most of the literature and research about team-building is not industry specific, but we know that each industry has its own unique challenges. What are they in healthcare?

In the second section of this assignment, consider the importance of collaboration and courage as fundamental skills necessary when leading teams. Both traits can be demonstrated through the behavior of the leader. There are signs that the staff need to see in the leader to indicate he or she acts courageously, such as:
