She states yellow-green drainage is seeping from the incision. Mrs. Carter does note that she is “feeling run down” and “washed out,” more so than any time since her operation. She stated, “I anticipated being recovered from my surgery by now, and completely back to my normal routine”. She periodically feels “warm and flushed” but has not checked her temperature because she is unsure how. Mrs. Carter states that she was instructed during her post-operative visit that the incision no longer required a dressing. She also states she was instructed that she could now “resume usual hygiene practices except tub baths”. She admitted that she “does not have a shower” and she “has been taking long tub baths since the first post-operative day but was afraid to tell her doctor”.
