   You are working on a committee of nurse educators at the Ratched School of Nursing where you have been directed to create a course promoting quality and safety for all prelicensure BSN students. The course will focus on promoting the incorporation of the 6 QSEN competencies (patient-centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, safety, and informatics) into daily nursing practice.

   Research QSEN competencies and what prelicensure BSN students should know regarding them.
   Conduct a learning needs assessment, which includes:

   • The research completed above
   • A completed Gap Analysis Tool

   Write learning objectives for this course. Consider the following as you create the learning objectives:

   • SMART goal guidelines
   • The school’s philosophy, mission statement, vision, and values
   • State- and program-specific accreditation requirements
   • Industry standards
   • BSN competencies

   Show the following in a matrix, concept map, or paper:
